March 1 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
FPG Bilingüe will hold its annual CARNAVAL March 1, 5:30-8pm! Carnival is a festive season which occurs immediately before Lent; the main events are usually during February. Carnival typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus, mask and public street party. People often dress up or masquerade during the celebrations, which mark an overturning of daily life. The celebration around the world derives its name from carne-lavare- removing meat in Italian, symbolizing a common practice of not fasting or not eating meat during the religious celebration of Lent. Our school celebration will be a celebration of cultures around the world and will include many of the components of various carnivals around the world. We will have a parade of the continents, games, food, dancing and drumming.
