The PTA needs YOU to help make FPG Bilingüe an amazing school!

The PTA still needs volunteers for the following positions. Please contact for more information.

Hospitality (2-3 volunteers) This committee hosts wonderful breakfasts for teachers and staff during delayed openings. Each grade donates or prepares school for a particular month. This position requires about 3 hours a month usually during delayed openings.

PTA Council Advocacy (1 volunteers) This is a Board and advocacy position and for the remainder of this year, would be a co-chair position with Erin Langston, the current PTA Council President and FPGB liaison. This volunteer would attend monthly PTA Council ameetings and PTA Board meetings and relay relevant information to the FPGB PTA Board.

Grant Writers (1-2 volunteers) Grant writers are imperative to long term PTA funding. They apply for and follow up on grants requested by the school or PTA. This helps to secure supplemental funding to support new initiatives for the benefit of the school community. We anticipate an increase in the need of this position in light of the  Playground Renovation Project. This position has an ongoing need for volunteers who are able to meet grant deadlines.

Social Events (1-2 volunteers) The Social Events Coordinator works to plan and organize PTA social events, such as Movie Night & Magic Show. This position requires attendance on the day of events as well as promotion of events via social media and at the school

Passive Fundraising Chair (2-3 volunteers) This position organizes the passive fundraisers the school promotes (Spirit Nights) to raise money for the PTA. Such initiatives include managing store linkage programs (Harris Teeter VIC program, AMAZON smile), hosting/promoting events at local restaurants who will give a certain % of the profit back to the school, selling store gift cards and promoting partnerships with local and online vendors. Most of the work for this committee can be done via email or at home.

ITST Coordinator (2-3 volunteers) The international teacher support team (ITST) welcomes international teachers and helps move them into their apartments and supports their transition to living in Chapel Hill. This committee is most active at the end and beginning of the school year when teacher leave and arrive from their apartments. Fluency in Spanish is helpful but not required.

These are just a few of the many ways PTA volunteers keep our school running!
